SB19’S “SIMULA AT WAKAS”: THE MOST SUCCESSFUL WORLD TOUR BY A FILIPINO NATIVE ACT

SB19’s record-breaking Simula at Wakas tour spans continents, sells out arenas, and proves that P-pop’s biggest force can conquer the world without a corporate machine — only vision, grit, and A’TIN power.

Sold-Out US Stages to Asia’s Red-Hot ArenasIn the electrifying world of P-pop, SB19 has long been the undisputed kings, but their ongoing Simula at Wakas World Tour is rewriting the rules of global domination.

Launched in support of their third EP, Simula at Wakas—the triumphant finale to a trilogy that began with Pagsibol in 2021 and continued with Pagtatag! in 2023—the tour kicked off with a bang on May 31, 2025, at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan. What started as a homecoming exploded into a worldwide phenomenon, with over 150,000 tickets sold across 21 shows, every single one sold out.

A Testament To The Raw Power Of Fan Devotion And Artistic Integrity

This is especially remarkable because SB19 operates as true independents, owning their destiny without the multimillion-dollar backing that props up many global acts.

From West Coast Vibes to Canadian CheersFresh off their Philippine Arena double-header—where they became the first Filipino act to sell out the world’s largest indoor arena twice in under seven hours, drawing 110,000 fans total—SB19 hit North America like a storm.

The US leg, announced exclusively by Billboard in May 2025, showcased their unyielding energy in venues that echoed with screams from A’TIN (their fiercely loyal fandom) and new converts alike.

Every stop sold out rapidly, proving P-pop’s magnetic pull stateside. Here’s a rundown of their US and Canadian conquests:

These shows served as cultural bridges. From San Francisco’s foggy shores to Vancouver’s rainy roar, SB19 blended Filipino pride with universal anthems like “Golden Hour” and the EP’s lead single “DAM,” which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart.

By July’s end, the North American run had cemented their status as trailblazers, with Ticketmaster reviews calling them “world-class” and “a must-see live.”

Sweeping Asia: Dubai’s Monumental Milestone and Bangkok’s Fever Pitch

With North America conquered, SB19 turned their gaze eastward, transforming the Simula at Wakas tour into Asia’s must-attend spectacle. The continent’s leg has been a whirlwind of sold-out spectacles, blending high-tech production with heartfelt fan interactions. Stops in Taipei (June 29 at Zepp New Taipei) and Singapore (August 24, where local artist Benjamin Kheng joined for “I Want You”) set the tone, each venue packed to the brim.

The pinnacle may be Dubai on October 11, 2025, at the Coca-Cola Arena—their biggest venue to date, with a staggering 17,000 capacity.

This one-night-only extravaganza sold out in record time, marking SB19’s third Dubai appearance but their first arena-filling triumph.

Fans from the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, and beyond turned the night into a “collective celebration,” singing along pre-show and erupting for encores of “DAM.”

The wave crashed in Bangkok as well. Their debut Thai show on November 2, 2025, at CentralwOrld Live (8th Floor) sold out swiftly, extending their streak to 17 consecutive sell-outs.

A’TIN Thailand, bolstered by global donations and hype, turned it into a pan-Asian party, with pre-sale frenzy and calls to “continue the sold-out streak.” Other Asian highlights include Hong Kong (September 14) and upcoming dates in Tokyo, Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth (December 14 at Red Hill Auditorium).

Middle East extensions to Qatar (October 17) and Saudi Arabia keep the momentum roaring.

Owning Their Throne Without a Corporate Crown

What makes this tour’s success so seismic? SB19’s fierce independence. In 2023, after a grueling legal battle with former label ShowBT Philippines, they secured full ownership of their name, logo, and trademarks through their self-founded 1Z Entertainment.

No multimillion-dollar K-pop machine or Western major-label safety net—just five visionaries (Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin) calling the shots on music, choreography, and tours. As leader Pablo shared, “We wanted to protect our beliefs and goals… create something that’s really our own without restrictions.”

This DIY ethos is revolutionary for P-pop. Unlike groups backed by conglomerates, SB19’s triumphs stem from grassroots hustle: viral hits like “Go Up” in 2019, a Netflix documentary (Pagtatag! The Documentary), and A’TIN’s unyielding support.

Their Simula at Wakas EP, self-produced under 1Z, hit No. 1 on Billboard charts without external hype.

At the inaugural Filipino Music Awards backed by Billboard Philippines on October 21, 2025, they swept six categories, including Tour of the Year for Simula at Wakas, underscoring OPM’s global ascent.

SB19’s run proves that authenticity and community can outshine cash flows. As they wrap Asia and eye more horizons (Europe, anyone?), it’s clear this isn’t the end—it’s simula (beginning) of a legacy they built brick by sold-out brick. A’TIN worldwide, the kings have spoken: Bow down or join the roar.
