Baby Metal is an all-female 3-member vocal metal band from Japan. Unlike other Japanese idol groups, Baby Metal’s sound is heavy and very much leaning towards the metal sound.

They started 10 years ago with the member only in their pre-teens. After 10 years, they are still going strong with one less members and several highly successful world tour including one in the Wembley Stadium.

As expected, many heavy metal fans refuse to consider Baby Metal an authentic metal band because of their kawaii nature, choreography, costumes, and a seemingly audacious story of their formation.

This video will explain why the sheer depth of the history of Kawaii will force us to rethink our opinions of Baby Metal and many other idol groups.

It’s almost amazing that despite the obvious inability of YG Entertainment to give their artists enough projects, comebacks, concerts, songs, and other projects, so many still think so pristinely of YG.

Now, Jang Hanna, the superstar Kpop contestant that was signed by YG but decided to leave because she wasn’t being given concrete plans for a debut, just announced her debut. She is another one of many talents YG wasted.

Asian girl groups are known for being cute, wholesome, and thin and I mean stick thin. If you go one size bigger than a small, you are deemed obese. That’s why plus size women are usually automatically delegated as a comedian because no one can take them seriously.

To date, there has been no plus size female idol or pop star have ever become popular or successful in Korea, Japan and most parts of Asia.

Big Angel is hell bent on changing that. Big Angel is a new girl group from Japan and is composed of plus size women who are confident, talented, beautiful and determined to change the way people look at plus size women and they are taking it a step further. They don’t want plus size women to be a ‘special’ section anymore. Instead, they want plus size women to be treated like regular women because they are.

On a bigger scale, this group is also a good example on how Asian entertainment help in highlighting important social issues but in a language and form that the majority of the public can understand.

Oh and they want to be called the ‘Fat Idol’. I didn’t choose the word. It’s their choice to be called that, not that I find anything offensive with the word ‘fat’.

Mamamoo gets a lot of hate and it all started right from their debut. From their black face to their seeming disrespect towards Korean culture, it seems that they give Kpop fans and Kmedia a lot of reasons to bash them and put them in the headlines.
Mamamoo fans keep on saying that they are simply talented and that’s why they are popular but do they really have talent? Aren’t they all screaming when they are supposedly singing? Can they even dance or all they do is grind their asses.
