After three years focused on solo ventures and a stadium tour, BLACKPINK has returned with Deadline, their third mini-album and first full group release since 2022’s Born Pink. Featuring the explosive pre-release “JUMP” and the member co-written anthem “GO,” the five-track EP doubles down on their bold, high-impact sound while launching a new era under global distributor The Orchard.
BLACKPINK has made a triumphant return with their third mini-album, Deadline, released on February 27, 2026. This marks the group’s first full group project since Born Pink in 2022, arriving after an extended period focused on individual endeavors and their Deadline World Tour.
Their first release under this new setup was the high-energy comeback single “JUMP” in July 2025—the group’s first new music in three years—which performed strongly worldwide, including a peak at No. 5 on the Billboard Philippines Hot 100.
The official lead single, “GO”, rolled out with a striking high-concept music video featuring AI-heavy sci-fi visuals. Notably, the track was co-written by all four members—JENNIE, LISA, ROSÉ, and JISOO. Coldplay’s La Vida Loca was sampled.
Deadline follows in the lineage of their previous mini-albums Square Up (2018) and Kill This Love (2019), as well as full-length studio albums The Album (2020) and Born Pink (2022).
The five-track EP clocks proudly upholds their signature sound: unapologetically bold, electrifying beats, and that unmistakable “I’m on top of the world” “I’m the best” swagger—delivering pure, infectious confidence where the members celebrate their own coolness, charisma, and untouchable vibe.
It was released right after wrapping their first all-stadium global tour, which included 33 shows across Asia, Europe, and North America, culminating in three epic nights at Kai Tak Stadium in Hong Kong from January 24–26, 2026.
JUMP (뛰어)
The explosive opener and pre-release single delivers the infectiously high-octane energy BLINKs crave. With its club-ready production (featuring contributions from Teddy, Diplo, and others), pounding beats, and confident “jump” chants, it sets a fiery, party-vibe tone. It is pure adrenaline and a nostalgic nod to early BLACKPINK bangers, though some note it shines even more in live settings.
GO
The official lead single stands out as a mature, anthemic powerhouse. Co-written by all four members themselves (a major milestone in their creative journey), it delivers massive production, an addictive hook, and that signature swagger through bold, commanding lines and chants like “I’m on a mission, I’m in control” and the rallying “BLACKPINK’ll make ya.” It screams their unmatched coolness—dominating the scene with unapologetic confidence, declaring their superiority and how no one can touch their level.
For BLINKs who’ve always loved their iconic posturing and that “we’re the queens, bow down” energy from tracks like “DDU-DU DDU-DU” or “Kill This Love,” this is perfection

Me and My (or “Me and my”)
This track nails the perfect TikTok formula—short, simple, and insanely catchy, with a retro hip-hop beat layered in sophisticated brass elements for that cooler, self-assured groove. Like “GO”, it doubles down on how effortlessly cool BLACKPINK is, flexing lines like “Hide your man, we ain’t playin’, just me and my girls, ayy” and “Golden like we Draymond, they pay us for a walk-in (Walk-in)”—pure, unapologetic confidence celebrating their squad’s untouchable vibe and pretty privilege. The playful use of words like “lolli” in the pre-chorus (“We gon’ make it pop like a lolli”) gives it extra youthful, fun appeal that screams younger market energy, making it super shareable and danceable. For BLINKs, this will be a staple at parties—easy to chant along to, perfect for group vibes, and guaranteed to light up any gathering with that signature BLACKPINK charisma.
Champion
A stadium-anthem contender that stays perfectly consistent with BLACKPINK’s signature sound across their previous albums and the first three tracks on Deadline—bold production (with credits including Łukasz Gottwald aka Dr. Luke and others) that radiates unstoppable energy. It speaks directly to their coolness and perpetual winning streak, flexing lines like “We eat losers for dinner (Okay)” and “I be winning like it’s an addiction”—pure, unfiltered declarations of dominance, where the members position themselves as eternal victors who crush competition without apology.
Fans praise its anthemic energy and how it builds on their signature commanding presence—solid and motivational without overcomplicating things.
Fxxxboy
The closer brings a sharper, emotional edge with attitude-filled lyrics and sleek production (Teddy and others involved). It explores breakup or empowerment themes with bite, showing a softer yet fiercer side. Reception highlights its replay value and how it rounds out the EP with attitude—some rank it highly for its bold statement.
The mini-album is especially significant as BLACKPINK’s debut full project under their new global distribution partnership with The Orchard (a Sony Music Entertainment subsidiary), following the end of their long-standing collaboration with Interscope Records in July 2025.
Overall, Deadline retains Blackpink’s dominant and cool branding. There is no growth thematically, sonically, or substantially but they were consistent and that may be what matters most to them.
While opinions vary—some fans love the high-energy focus and member involvement, others wish for more tracks or a tighter thematic thread—the project reaffirms BLACKPINK’s status as a kpop powerhouse. Ten years in, they’re proving they still command the spotlight.
