BTS is keeping the momentum strong with another music video release from their fifth studio album Arirang. On Friday, the group will unveil the official MV for the B-side track “Normal” exclusively on Spotify at 1 p.m. PT, Big Hit Music announced Thursday.

This marks the second MV BTS is releasing via Spotify, following “Merry Go Round.” With this drop, the septet will have delivered five music videos from the Arirang album: the lead single “Swim,” B-sides “2.0” and “Hooligan,” plus the previously released tracks and now “Normal.”

A Refreshingly Unfiltered Teaser

Fans got a surprise on Wednesday night when a teaser for the “Normal” MV appeared on HYBE Labels’ YouTube channel. The clip shows all seven members — RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook — standing side by side at urinals in a restroom setting. According to Big Hit Music, the everyday location is intentional: it offers “a glimpse of the group’s unfiltered and everyday side, contrasting with their polished stage personas.”

The teaser also solved a fun mystery for American fans. In recent days, eye-catching print advertisements styled like newspaper headlines ran in major U.S. outlets including The San Francisco Chronicle and The New York Post. They featured the line, “Some have questioned whether the situation was entirely normal,” paired with a still from the upcoming video. This marks the first time BTS has used print media for MV teasers, blending old-school advertising with their digital rollout in a clever way.

The Song and Album Performance

“Normal” is an alternative pop track that captures the members’ relatable everyday thoughts and lives. It debuted at No. 41 on the Billboard Hot 100 shortly after release and earned praise for its understated yet powerful vocal performances and conversational sing-rapping style.

The parent album Arirang continues its impressive chart run. After three weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, it sits at No. 25 on the latest chart dated July 18. Lead single “Swim” is also holding strong, logging 16 consecutive weeks on the Hot 100 and currently sitting at No. 84.

Alongside the MV, Spotify will release three new versions of “Normal,” including a Korean-language version that premiered during BTS’s concert in Busan, plus an instrumental take.

Mid-Tour Powerhouse

The timing feels especially fitting as BTS is roughly halfway through their ambitious year-long world tour. According to their official website, the trek already includes more than 80 stops with additional dates expected. The group is well on its way to selling 2 million tickets, a testament to their enduring global draw even years into their career.

For fans in the U.S. and worldwide, the “Normal” MV offers another intimate look at the superstars behind the spotlight — proving that even at the top, BTS still finds creative ways to connect on a human level. Stream the video and new versions on Spotify starting Friday at 1 p.m. PT.
