In the months following BLACKPINK’s group mini-album Deadline (released February 2026) and their global stadium tour, three of the four members have announced new solo projects in quick succession. Jennie, Jisoo, and Lisa are set to drop new music between late August and October 2026. Rosé remains the only member who has not yet announced a new solo album or EP in this cycle.
This pace marks a noticeably faster release cycle than during their years under YG Entertainment, when solo activities were more tightly controlled and spaced farther apart. After the members established their own labels and greater creative independence (following contract changes around late 2023), they have been able to move more quickly on individual projects while still balancing group activities.
Jennie – Fallen Angel (EP)
Jennie leads the current wave with her digital EP Fallen Angel, scheduled for release on August 28, 2026 (1 p.m. KST / 12 a.m. EDT) via her label Odd Atelier in partnership with Columbia Records.

A physical edition expands the project to six tracks, adding three exclusive songs:

Pre-orders for the physical EP began around August 26, 2026. A music video for the title track “FALLEN ANGEL” is also set to arrive on the same day as the digital EP. The project has been described as coming from a personal place of self-expression.
Jisoo – “Click” (Single / Pre-release)
Jisoo will release the digital single “Click” on September 4, 2026 (1 p.m. KST). It serves as the lead/pre-release track for her long-awaited first full-length solo album (title and full tracklist still unannounced).
The music video was directed by Grammy-winning filmmaker Joseph Kahn and filmed in Bangkok. Unlike some of her previous solo work, this track does not feature a collaborating artist. Physical single album versions (including photobook and NFC editions) have also been announced for pre-order.
Jisoo had previously released the EP Amortage in 2025 and the collaborative single “Eyes Closed” (with Zayn) in October 2025. She has spoken about wanting the full album to showcase a wider range of music.
Lisa – Press Play (EP)
Lisa follows with her new EP Press Play, set for release on October 23, 2026 through her label Lloud and RCA Records.
The project contains six tracks in total. The first single, “SaWaDiKa” (inspired by the Thai greeting “sawatdee kha”), will drop on September 3, 2026. The title and concept lean into Lisa’s Thai roots and personal story.
This follows her 2025 debut studio album Alter Ego. Pre-orders for Press Play are already open, and promotional activities are underway.
Rosé
As of late August 2026, Rosé is the only BLACKPINK member who has not announced a new solo album, EP, or major single in this particular wave of releases. She previously released her debut studio album Rosie in December 2024 and has continued with select singles and collaborations (including soundtrack work) in the intervening period.
A Faster Independent Era
Under YG Entertainment, BLACKPINK members’ solo debuts and follow-ups often involved longer gaps and company-driven scheduling. Since establishing greater independence—Jennie with Odd Atelier, Lisa with Lloud, Jisoo with Blissoo, and Rosé with her own arrangements—the members have demonstrated the ability to release music on tighter timelines while still coordinating group activities such as the Deadline project and tour.Fans can expect a busy late summer and fall of 2026, with new music arriving in rapid succession from three of the four members. Full tracklists beyond the announced singles, additional promotional details, and any potential Rosé announcement may still emerge in the coming weeks.
