BTS has kicked off its highly anticipated return to the stage in spectacular fashion. The group’s three-night residency at Goyang Stadium (April 9, 11, and 12, 2026) marked the launch of the ARIRANG World Tour and delivered unprecedented numbers across live attendance, paid streaming, and cinema broadcasts.

Official figures show a total physical attendance of 133,032 fans across the three shows at Goyang Stadium, with an average ticket price of $175. That alone generated approximately $23.28 million in ticket revenue.

All three nights were also live-streamed on Weverse and screened in cinemas worldwide. On Day 2 alone, BTS recorded 4 million viewers on Weverse. While Big Hit has not yet clarified whether these are unique users or include relogins from technical issues, a conservative estimate places unique viewership across all three shows at 6 million at an average price of $38 per stream. That adds another $228 million.

Cinema broadcasts drew an additional half a million attendees at $15 average per ticket, contributing $7.5 million.

These are deliberately conservative estimates. Combining physical tickets, Weverse streaming, and cinema screenings, the Goyang stand is estimated to have generated roughly $258.78 million in total gross revenue — an extraordinary haul for three nights that underscores BTS’s unmatched global draw even after years away for military service.

Fresh off this triumph, BTS now takes the ARIRANG World Tour international. The first overseas leg begins in Japan with two shows at Tokyo Dome on April 17 and 18, 2026. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. respectively, with shows starting at 6:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Additional Japan dates are expected in 2027 as part of the tour’s expanded run through March 2027 across 34 cities in 23 countries.

The tour’s scale and demand are already breaking records elsewhere. In Brazil, the three São Paulo dates (October 28, 30, and 31 at Estádio MorumBIS) sold out in minutes. Ticketmaster reported pre-sale demand exceeding 1.2 million tickets — enough to fill the stadium more than 15 times — while general-sale requests surged past 3.7 million, equivalent to 48 sold-out shows. Over three days of sales, more than 1.9 million fans attempted to purchase tickets.

All three concerts, each with a concert-configured capacity of 84,458, sold out completely, moving roughly 253,374 tickets in total. At an average price of $150, the Brazil leg is projected to generate approximately $38 million in gross ticket revenue alone — a staggering figure that highlights the explosive Latin American demand for BTS’s return.

Adding to the historic homecoming, BTS will perform two special concerts at Busan Asiad Main Stadium on June 12 and 13, 2026 — dates that form part of the ARIRANG World Tour but are deeply tied to their annual anniversary celebration, BTS Festa. The June 13 show lands exactly on the group’s 13th debut anniversary (June 13, 2013), turning the shows into a full-circle moment in the hometown of members Jimin and Jungkook. This marks the first time in years the septet will celebrate Festa with live stadium performances alongside fan-focused events, echoing memorable past celebrations: the landmark 10th Anniversary FESTA in 2023 with its immersive exhibits, history wall, and decade-spanning photo collection; the deeply emotional 2022 edition featuring heartfelt member reflections and a “hugathon” for lucky ARMY; and earlier Festas that gifted fans with original songs, dance practices, and playful variety content that strengthened the bond between BTS and their global fanbase.

The Busan dates are already sparking massive local excitement. Hotel searches for the city surged 2,375% within 48 hours of the tour announcement, with some accommodations near Haeundae, Gwangalli, and other hotspots seeing prices jump up to 10 times normal rates. Busan is actively preparing by developing new BTS-themed attractions and neighborhood upgrades to welcome the expected flood of international visitors. The economic impact is projected to be substantial, feeding into Korea’s broader “BTSnomics” phenomenon that has driven trillions of won in tourism revenue across host cities through boosted flights, lodging, and local spending.

From the record-smashing Goyang opener to the instant sell-outs in Japan and Brazil — and the emotional homecoming in Busan — BTS’s ARIRANG World Tour is already shaping up as one of the biggest live events in music history. With 79 shows planned across five continents and more dates still to come, the septet’s global dominance shows no signs of slowing down. ARMYs worldwide are ready — the comeback is officially here.
