Some charity auctions raise money. This one hopes to change millions of lives.
Christie’s, FIFA, and Global Citizen have teamed up for ONE GOAL: An Auction to Benefit the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, an online sale featuring memorabilia from the FIFA World Cup 2026 and the historic first-ever FIFA World Cup Final Halftime Show. Every lot is offered without reserve, meaning every winning bid directly contributes toward a much bigger mission.
The proceeds support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, a $100 million initiative that aims to expand access to quality education and football programs for children in underserved communities through grassroots organizations around the world. The goal is simple but ambitious: help children stay in school while giving them access to sport as a pathway to opportunity.
This is also the first auction of its kind, bringing together game-used FIFA memorabilia and outfits worn during the inaugural FIFA World Cup Final Halftime Show.
The World Cup Left the Stage. The Auction Began.
Fans can bid on everything from game-used match balls to signed national team jerseys.
Then there are the halftime show items.
BTS, Shakira, Madonna, Justin Bieber and other performers all donated pieces worn during the show.
For BTS, the seven items almost form an entire outfit:
- RM’s shoes
- Jin’s belt
- SUGA’s pants
- j-hope’s gloves
- Jimin’s jersey
- V’s scarf
- Jungkook’s jacket
Naturally, ARMY looked at that and collectively wondered what kind of sorcery they could use to be able buy all seven.

Then Jimin’s Shirt Decided to Become the Main Character.
As of publication, Park Jimin’s white-and-red FIFA halftime jersey sits at approximately $15,000 after dozens of bids, making it not only the highest-priced BTS item but the most expensive celebrity item in the auction.
For comparison:
Jimin’s jersey — $15,000
Lionel Messi’s signed Argentina jersey — around $6,000
Jungkook’s jacket — roughly $7,000
Other BTS items — generally ranging from about $1,100 to 4,000 (with prices continuing to change as bidding remains open).
Yes. Jimin’s shirt is currently worth more than double Messi’s signed jersey.
The internet noticed.
Should Anyone Be Surprised?
Not really. Jimin has built one of the strongest solo careers ever achieved by an Asian artist in the United States. Scratch that.
Jimin has built one of the strongest solo careers in the United States, period.
His debut album FACE, which he co-produced and co-wrote, made history when “Like Crazy” became the first non-english song by a solo artist to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
He followed it with MUSE, another album he helped write and produce, led by “Who.”
That song went on to become the longest-charting song by an Asian act in Billboard Hot 100 history and continues to rack up millions of streams while remaining on Spotify’s charts long after its release.
Then there are the crowds. Jimin drew the largest attendance Tiffany & Co. has ever seen for one of its events when he appeared at the opening of its New York flagship. Months earlier, Dior experienced a similar phenomenon in Paris, where fans packed the streets just to catch a glimpse of him.
His official merchandise routinely sells out. The clothes he wears disappear from retailers. Fans hunt down everything from jewelry to sneakers with the determination of FBI agents.
So no, a jersey climbing to $15,000 isn’t some bizarre anomaly. It’s simply the law of supply and Jimin.
Meanwhile, ARMY Has Completely Lost the Plot (Affectionately).
The auction may be for charity. The comment section, however, has become free entertainment.
Across X, fans have been joking that they’re preparing to:
- live on half a pack of instant noodles for the next decade
- spend rent money “for a good cause”
- hope whoever wins frames the jersey in a museum
- ask whether Elon Musk secretly became a Jimin bias overnight
- speculate that only a Rothschild heir could casually throw around this kind of money
Others skipped directly to the bargaining stage of grief, negotiating with the eventual winner before the auction had even ended: “Please display it somewhere the rest of us can visit.”
One fan summed up the mood perfectly: “Me and my two cents are ready.”
Another admitted they briefly considered dipping into savings—right up until they saw Jimin’s shirt hit five figures.
Perhaps the funniest realization came when fans noticed Jimin’s jersey wasn’t just leading the BTS items.
It was leading Messi’s.
Cue collective disbelief.
The Best Kind of Bidding War
It’s easy to laugh at the memes but underneath the jokes is something genuinely heartwarming.
Every dollar spent in this auction helps fund education and sports opportunities for children who otherwise might never have access to them.
Owning a piece of BTS history is already special.
Owning a piece of BTS and FIFA history while helping send children to school?
That’s about as meaningful as memorabilia gets. So if your bank account can survive it—and that’s a very important “if”—there are still several days left before the auction closes on July 29.
Good luck to everyone bidding.
And to whoever wins Jimin’s shirt…
Please.
For the love of ARMY.
Put it in a display case where the rest of us can admire it from a respectful distance.
