BABYMETAL will appear on a limited-edition variant cover for Marvel’s Marvel Zombies: War Zone (2026) #1, extending a partnership that started when the group’s 2025 single “from me to u (feat. Poppy)” was used in the trailer for Marvel Animation’s Marvel Zombies series on Disney+.
The standard issue hit U.S. comic shops on September 2. The BABYMETAL variant, drawn by Marvel cover artist Phil Noto, is capped at 3,500 copies and puts SU-METAL, MOAMETAL, and MOMOMETAL next to Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, and Thor.
The cover is part of a collectible line pairing athletes and entertainers with official Marvel characters. Pop-culture agency hustl. announced the drop with Capitol Records. U.S. pre-orders opened through the Capitol store and the hobby market; the listing on BABYMETAL’s official store sold out.
How to Get the Japan Edition
Japan pre-orders open Monday, September 7 at 6:00 p.m. on A!SMART. Price is ¥6,500 (tax included). Shipping is listed for late September to mid-October 2026.

The Band’s Take
“We are truly honored to have had the opportunity to collaborate with Marvel, a beloved brand around the world for so many years,” BABYMETAL said. “Gracing a comic book cover alongside Marvel’s characters is the best surprise we could have asked for. We hope our fans are as excited as we are.”
METAL FORTH and the Tour Behind the Collab
“from me to u (feat. Poppy)” is on METAL FORTH, the 2025 album that debuted at No. 9 on the Billboard 200 — BABYMETAL’s first U.S. Top 10, and the first time an all-Japanese-fronted group reached that tier. A deluxe edition followed in 2026 with remixes by Major Lazer and Jordan Fish, plus live tracks.
The cover lands while BABYMETAL World Tour 2026 is already moving. The group opened its largest North American run on September 2 at Denver’s Ball Arena with Halestorm and Violent Vira — the same day the standard War Zone issue reached shops. U.S. and Canada amphitheater dates run through early October, including Louder Than Life in Louisville and Aftershock in Sacramento.
Latin American shows follow in late November and December: São Paulo, Buenos Aires, Santiago, Lima, and Mexico City.
What the Comic Is
Marvel Zombies: War Zone #1 is set after a zombie outbreak overruns Manhattan. A barrier goes up to contain the city while Earth’s mightiest heroes fall to the virus. Survivors fight inside the quarantine; the Punisher cuts through the horde looking for answers, not an exit.
The variant does not change the story. It is a cover-only special — a physical follow-up to the soundtrack moment that already put BABYMETAL inside Marvel’s zombie universe.
