BLACKPINK IS THE MOST-NOMINATED ACT FOR THE 2025 MAMA AWARDS, CHASING THE BIG WINS

Will they convert nominations into the major wins that match their global stature?

BLACKPINK have officially been named the Most-Nominated Act for the 2025 MAMA Awards, racking up a staggering 23 nominations across both group and solo categories.

Meanwhile, member Jennie leads all solo artists with nine nominations, for her solo work and collaborations.

WHY IT’S SIGNIFICANT

BLACKPINK’s nomination haul underlines the group’s global reach and commercial dominance. The MAMA Awards this year will be held at Hong Kong’s brand-new Kai Tak Stadium on November 28-29, adding even more spotlight to their achievement.

Yet, for all their acclaim and global success, BLACKPINK’s trophy cabinet doesn’t yet fully match the size of their name. According to records, while they’ve been nominated many times, their win count at MAMA lags behind some of their peer groups. For example, in previous years they earned fewer daesang (grand prize) wins compared to top acts like BTS.

THE NARRATIVE AHEAD

With 23 nods this year, BLACKPINK are clearly in the driver’s seat. The questions now are: Will they convert nominations into the major wins that match their global stature? And can this year mark a turning point — not just for recognition, but for legacy building?

They have the numbers. They have the nominations. Now they’ll need the wins to match — and their fans worldwide will be watching.

For the group category, BLACKPINK is nominated for the following:
