Dreaming of breaking into the K-pop world but can’t sing or dance? No worries—your editing or video creation skills could be your ticket in.
The ‘2026 Content Creative Talent Development Program’, organized by the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) and run by comprehensive content company RBW, officially kicked off mentee recruitment on April 1.
Operating under the name ‘K-POP Content Producer LAB’, the initiative aims to scout and nurture the next generation of creators specializing in music and video content. It offers seven recruitment tracks: composition and arrangement, composition and string arrangement, composition and session, composition and directing, composition and musical direction, composition and engineering, plus AI-integrated video production.
Aspiring participants can submit their applications and portfolios through Google Forms until April 15. The selection process includes a document screening round followed by interviews, with a total of 22 mentees ultimately chosen.
Selected participants will team up with industry expert mentors to produce real music and video content. They’ll also join hands-on programs such as workshops, special lectures, and demo pitching sessions designed to mirror actual industry workflows.
The RBW Education Content Business Team, leading the project, shared: “Through field-oriented education and practical production experience, participants will gain the ability to independently plan and execute their own content.” They added, “We warmly welcome talented individuals who aren’t afraid to dive into creative challenges.”
